Marissa has been practicing yoga for over 12 years now. She truly believes in the healing powers of yoga and the many benefits it has on your mind, body and spirit and that there is always room for growth.
As an avid animal lover, Marissa has 3 dogs, who fill her life with daily joys. She is always willing to rescue any animal she comes across. She also loves the beach and living on the coast, she believes it adds length to her life.
Marissa will always find a way to incorporate her yoga practice as well as a yoga lifestyle into her daily life. She believes that living a yogic lifestyle is the only way to live. She is in the process of completing her Dharma Mittra 500 Hour training.
After leaving the hustle and bustle of a 9-5 career, Marissa was looking for a deeper meaning to life on a more holistic and spiritual level. She took her 200 RYT Teacher Certification from the Center for Health and Healing to deepen her Yoga practice, without the intention of becoming a Yoga teacher. She soon discovered that she wanted to share the gift of yoga with others to help them get a better understanding of yoga and themselves.
